Once I had decided to commit to smoothing my rear quarter I went about sourcing a second filler neck to hack about as to use as a template.
After a couple of goes I had tacked together something I was happy with that cleared the boot hinge and didn't intrude any more than the original guard into the pitiful boot space.
This was then made up in aluminium.
Having lived with this for a couple of weeks the point of no return was reached and the mig was wheeled out.
With the tops of the welds knocked off and a light skim of filler I had some idea of how much more work I had in store...
Compared to the other side...
That'll be "lots" then. So after "lots" of work I had something that should just need a bit of fettling before some colour can be applied.
Till next time.
