I did not attend Ultimate Dubs

Saturday rolled around and with all the other guys somewhere up north prepping for U.D I cracked on with getting my car ready for the show season.  It seemed appropriate and although I no longer drive a VW, U.D still marks the start of the show season.  Off I went to my friend Chris's who was all set to detail the car.  I'd got it ready for him the night before by washing and claying myself so on arrival at his house a quick rinse off and he set about it with the rotary.  That was followed by sealing and waxing and the end result was this.

A years worth of washing and abuse of the paint since its last polish had taken its toll but when he was finished I was damn impressed with the results.  It looked properly black again.

I also had a new bonnet to fit which I'd just had back from the bodyshop so I set about that.  Its a bit different from the normal carbon OEM styled jobby but I like it that way.

Whilst I was at it and with the pending Honda meet on the Sunday I threw the BBS on for good measure to finish off the package.  With my recent lowering it sat quite hansomly I thought, room to go lower too but I'd had enough of messing with the thing for one weekend...
