On Friday, i received a de-cat down pipe. My plan was to fit it, and drive up to Cov with the rest of the guys, and party until Sunday.

Easy?

Fuck no.

After I had dismantled most of my bay to get to the down pipe, and the the stock item off, I realised to my terror, it was way too short. FUCK, what to do? Run it with just one pipe from the turbo back? I could, but it would run like a bag of ass, due to the air sensor being right on the tip of the pipe, and the fact it sounded like a fucking spitfire.

So I let Matty go up with solo in the Touran, and I hatched a plan for the following day. The plan involved an angle grinder, the end of the catted down pipe, and a lot of bodging. But sense came to mind, and I was quickly back on the computer looking for the rest of the race system that would mate to the de-cat. This was swiftly found and bought, and this morning it arrived.

And went, more or less to plan.

The only worry is its size.. But the sound, and the extra pull it gives me , just about makes up for it.
