Old cars > New cars

To cut a long story short, our good Grounded Friend Alex has a pretty tasty Mk1, now in his preparation for Edition I've been driving up to Lincoln with him to fix a few issues.

so anyway, this time i get a call exept all that's left to do is drive up and bolt on his fresh-from-G-Werks G Lader and go out driving to get some unboosted miles on the clock before the show.

so on went the supercharger

During my time driving 'modern tat' I've clearly forgotten how completely different driving around in an oldskool car is, i started my driving life in a mk2 escort, and only recently ended up with a Mk4 daily. I don't think anything modern can come close to driving something like this, the noise, the looks, the handling. Everything is just amplified by a factor of 10.

First port of call was some fuel

then a stop off at the MOT'ers to *ahem* assess a slight issue


then about 3 hours of completely pointless driving, which really bought it back to me why old cars basically win at everything, followed by a quick stop off at a cemetery to wake up the dead
